Bio
I am a post-disciplinary artist working across design, film, and music. My practice is project-led and systems-oriented, approaching each project as a container — shaping the visual, technical, and narrative structures that allow it to exist, circulate, and endure. Alongside commissioned work, I develop self-initiated and community-driven projects focused on independent music and film cultures in South Africa, often combining authorship, curation, and archiving through platforms such as GUSHER*
Design & Visual Systems
Design functions as both tool and infrastructure in my work. I create graphic, web, motion, and interactive systems that extend across digital and physical contexts — from websites and social media to print, video, and installation. My focus is on evolving visual identities that support music releases, film projects, live events, and curatorial initiatives. Tools include Illustrator, Photoshop, Figma, After Effects, Blender, TouchDesigner, and various web builders.
Film & Moving Image
I make short films, music videos, live performance documentation, and experimental moving-image work. Drawing from surrealism and experimental cinema, I embrace constraint and process as creative tools. I am interested in atmosphere, perception, and non-linear storytelling, often blending documentary, archive, and fiction. Recent work includes Refill(2024), UNCLE - What a Humbling Existence (Official Music Video) and ongoing live documentation projects of South Africa’s independent music scene, through a video series titled LIVE XPS*.
Music & Sound
Music informs my practice across rhythm, structure, and time. I work as a musician, producer, and songwriter with projects such as Blackberrysour (2018–2020), Bahbahroo (2022–present) and a duo project, Even If (2025-present), exploring genre, texture, and sonic identity. Releases span digital, vinyl, and USB archives, often intersecting with my work in film, design, and installation. Sound functions as both subject and material across my disciplines.
Curation & Community Work
I develop curatorial and community-focused projects across film and music. These include live performance archives, film and music list series, screenings, workshops, and collaborative platforms for artists, filmmakers, and musicians. I am interested in documenting and sustaining independent creative scenes, particularly through digital systems that preserve visibility and long-term access.
